Mariaberget is one of Stockholm’s most charming and atmospheric neighborhoods, perched on a hillside in Södermalm. Known for its quiet streets, historic wooden houses, and small parks, it offers a peaceful contrast to the livelier parts of the city.
The area is especially loved for its breathtaking viewpoints along Monteliusvägen, where guests can enjoy panoramic views over Riddarfjärden, Stockholm City Hall, and the Old Town. It is a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, particularly at sunset.
Drottningholm Castle
Drottningholm Palace is one of Sweden’s most magnificent royal residences and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated on the island of Lovön, approximately 11 km from central Stockholm, the palace has been the permanent residence of the Swedish Royal Family since 1981. Surrounded by beautifully preserved gardens and the waters of Lake Mälaren, Drottningholm offers a peaceful and historically rich escape from the city.
Car/taxi: The most convenient option is by taxi or private car, with a journey of approximately 15–25 minutes from the hotel.
Public transport: Take the metro to Brommaplan, then continue by bus to the stop Drottningholms Slott. The journey takes approximately 35–45 minutes from the hotel.
Boat: During the summer months, regular boat services operate from Stadshuskajen, beside Stockholm City Hall, directly to Drottningholm, takes 1 hour. The journey offers a particularly scenic way to arrive, travelling across Lake Mälaren and making the journey part of the experience.

Chinese Pavilion: Open seasonally, primarily during the summer months.
Drottningholm Palace Theatre: Open seasonally, with guided tours and performances mainly during the summer.
Allow at least 3–4 hours to visit the palace, gardens, Chinese Pavilion and theatre. In summer, arriving by boat from City Hall makes for a particularly scenic journey.
Hellasgården

Hellasgården is a popular outdoor recreation area just outside Stockholm, surrounded by the forests and lakes of the Nacka Nature Reserve. Just a short journey from the city centre, it offers a refreshing opportunity to experience Swedish nature and outdoor life.
Guests can enjoy scenic walking and running trails, swimming in Källtorpssjön, kayaking, SUP, mountain biking and seasonal activities such as cross-country skiing and ice skating. The traditional sauna, overlooking the lake, is particularly popular and can be combined with a refreshing swim throughout the year.
For a more relaxed visit, Sjöcaféet offers coffee, pastries and light meals beside the lake, while Storstugan serves lunch in a traditional setting.

Approximately 20–25 minutes by car or taxi. Public transport is also available, with the journey taking approximately 30–40 minutes depending on connections.

Opening Hours: The National Park is open year-round. Visitor facilities and cafés operate seasonally.
