NK – NORDISKA KOMPANIET

Shopping in Gamla Stan offers a more traditional and atmospheric side of Stockholm. Set among medieval cobblestone streets and historic buildings, the area is home to charming independent boutiques, Swedish handicrafts, local design, vintage finds and carefully selected souvenirs.
For a more authentic experience, we recommend wandering beyond the main tourist street of Västerlånggatan and exploring the smaller streets around Österlånggatan, Köpmangatan and Stora Nygatan, where several independent shops and artisan boutiques can be found.
It is particularly enjoyable for guests looking for Swedish gifts, handicrafts, jewellery, vintage pieces and unique local finds, while the historic surroundings make the shopping experience part of the attraction itself.

SoFo
South of Folkungagatan, Södermalm
SoFo is Stockholm’s creative and independent shopping district, known for its relaxed atmosphere, contemporary Scandinavian style and eclectic mix of fashion, design, vintage and lifestyle boutiques. The neighbourhood is particularly enjoyable for guests looking to discover local brands and smaller independent stores away from the traditional luxury-shopping streets.
Among the highlights are 6/5/4, a stylish lifestyle store combining fashion, outdoor goods, books and design; Grandpa, known for its curated selection of Scandinavian fashion, accessories, vintage and interiors; and POP Stockholm, a destination for carefully selected vintage clothing. The area around Nytorget, Södermannagatan and Skånegatan is particularly pleasant to explore on foot.
For a coffee break, Café Pom & Flora on Bondegatan is a popular choice, offering a relaxed, contemporary setting with coffee, breakfast and light dishes.
Tip: For the best experience, allow a few hours to wander between Nytorget, Södermannagatan, Skånegatan and the surrounding streets. SoFo is less about one particular destination and more about discovering Stockholm’s independent and creative side.
