Christmas Markets Stockholm
Stortorget Christmas market (The Old Town)??
Set among the colourful historic buildings of Stortorget in Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town, the Stortorget Christmas Market is one of the city’s most traditional festive experiences. The market has roots dating back to 1837 and is known for its small red wooden stalls, Christmas lights and historic surroundings.
When operating, visitors can browse stalls offering Swedish handicrafts, ceramics, textiles, traditional Christmas decorations, sweets, local delicacies and other handmade gifts. A visit is particularly atmospheric in the afternoon as the Christmas lights begin to glow, with the narrow cobbled streets of Gamla Stan adding to the old-fashioned Christmas setting

Located in the heart of Stockholm, Kungsträdgården hosts a special one-day Christmas market on Saturday, 28 November 2026. The market is organised by the City of Stockholm together with Ung Företagsamhet, and features more than 600 young entrepreneurs and student-run companies.
The market is a little different from Stockholm’s traditional Christmas markets, offering a contemporary selection of handmade gifts, design, home décor, art, fashion, jewellery, accessories, technology, food and drinks. Many of the products are created by the young entrepreneurs themselves, making it a lovely place to discover something original while supporting the next generation of Swedish businesses.
